Tenerife Weather: warm all year round

beach.jpgThe island has a great reputation as a destination for those who like their winter holidays in a sunny, warm climate, but it’s also popular year round, including the peak summer months, although those with children should watch out for too much sun exposure during the summer months.

Worth watching out for are last minute deals when the forecast is predicting a good 5, 7 or 10 days ahead.

A good number of tour operators include the island in their portfolio, and unlike some places that are really only June to September with the year round good Tenerife weather it means they can have full time staff who live locally and are employed throughout the year, as opposed to summer only destinations where the reps might not have a good knowledge of the local areas.

Worth watching out for if you are retired or going to take the majority of your annual leave in one go is the offers holiday companies have for three and four week stays during January and February, when it’s cold at home, but the climate and weather in Tenerife is terrific.

The Different Areas of Tenerife

map.jpgThe north and south are quite different in that the south is much more designed  for Tenerife holidays, while the north is much like the island used to be, and more natural – but what about the climate, is there a difference between the two when you are looking for good sunny weather outside of the summer months?

The good news is that the weather doesn’t change much throughout the year, including January, February and March which are popular for the winter holidays.

Spring time including Easter is refreshingly warm without being oppressive, and April, May and June are popular times to visit, while the peak summer months of July and August are the two months when a forecast shows it can get pretty hot.

Come autumn a lot of people like to capture the summer again, and September, October, November and December will find quite a few people visiting, and the Christmas Tenerife weather means it’s a busy time, along with the New Year.

Overall it’s a destination where people visit again and again, and that is always a recommendation in itself.

Have a look at the reviews of where you’re thinking of booking your accommodation to see what people who have been there before thought of it, and there are online guides available to give an idea of what the village or resort is like where your accommodation is going to be, and check back here before you leave for the latest Tenerife weather forecast so you’ll know what to expect when you arrive.

The closer you are to leaving for the island the more accurate it normally is, with a variety of resources offering 5, 7 and 10 days ahead.
